I had to put my laptop in the shop because the headphone jack broke and on my laptop it was attached to the motherboard. The warranty was up on December 29th and the only way to fix it was to replace the motherboard so we had to hurry up and take it to the repair shop. We got it there on the 27th and I didn't have time to tell everyone that before we took it in. They said it could take up to two weeks not including weekend days. So, I'm thrilled I got it back today! And the headphone jack works again! :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo;
Hope everyone had great holidays! Hubby and I spent Christmas at my dad's with two of my sisters, brother's in law and nieces and nephew. The baby is crawling now and we got her a walking toy and she got right up on that and started cruisin' all over the apartment! We just had cold cuts and pie for food. Then hubby and I went over to my sister, Kelli's, on Saturday because she wanted me to make that taco casserole. She had been looking forward to it and then I didn't make it at our dads'. She wants us to do it again next weekend. lol
New Year's Eve we spent at home watching the fireworks on tv and then New Year's Day we went out to dinner then came home and watched a movie.

Thanks. I was abt to have my sister log on and let everyone know why I hadn't been on lately but I got a call from the computer place that said it was done. So, hubby and I went and got it right after dialysis! I was soooo bored without it! I do a lot of different things on my laptop like writing and I've been doing that with pen and paper. So, now I am going to type it all into my MS Word program.
Just wanted to let everyone know I'm okay.

Thanks. I did. We spent Christmas with my dad, two of my sisters and two niece's and nephew. My youngest niece is crawling and had started pulling herself up on stuff so we got her one of those walking toys that has a shape sorter on the bottom. She was walking around pushing that as soon as her mom got it together. She hadn't quite figured out how to turn yet but it was funny watching her try to shove it through the wall! And since everyone else was laughing she started laughing too! Babies are so fun sometimes! We just had cold cuts and pie to eat. Then I went over to my sister, Kelli's, apt and cooked the casserole 'cause she'd had heart set on it. She wants me to do it again this coming Saturday. Sunday hubby and I went to a movie and I had dialysis on New Year's Eve Day. We got something to eat on the way home and some movies. We stayed in and watched the Space Needle Fireworks on tv. They kept messing up because of a computer glitch. On New Year's Day we went out to an early dinner then went home and watched a movie.

Welcome back.
Wow, your medical history is quite adventourous.
I think I may qualify for only 1 kidney transplant because of my Hep. B.

That's too bad that you have Hep. B, but you never know what medical science will come up with in the near or far future. And I would talk to my doctor and transplant clinic abt it. I've been very lucky to have avoided contracting Hepatitis and HIV for as long as I've had CKD. In all the years I've been a CKD patient I have seen many changes and breakthroughs with dialysis treatments and transplantation. When I had my first transplant they would only do living related transplants. Dr. Hickman predicted that I would only make it to the age of 30. I will be 36 tomorrow! I have faith that science will one day find a cure for everything that ails us!
