Title: Going to be a sad Christmas

My mom passed away on the 19th and the funeral was yesterday.  Think I am feeling worse this morning than I did before the funeral.  >:( I couldn't go visit a lot when she was alive because it was about a 4 hr drive.  Talked to her almost every night on the phone though. Have to keep thinking she is better off because she has ben really sick for the past couple of weeks.  She was in severe pain from a perforated bowel and her heart was too weak for surgery so she was on morphine all the time. I'm sort ofr glad she didn't have to suffer for very long. She was 83.  Docs told us about 5 years ago she probably would not live a year because of her heart problems.  Only good thing was at the funeral saw people I hadn't seen for years and there was loads of hugs all around.

Oh honey. I am so sorry. The death of a loved one is hard, but a lot harder around a major holiday.  She is at peace now. Small consolation, I know.
I lost my mother 2 years ago. I still think of her and dream of her every day.   :grouphug;

Your Mother would have been pleased that you saw people you were glad to see and got those hugs.

I am so sorry about your irreplaceable loss.  And I do understand how you feel.  But please know that you have your IHD family here.  Feel free to vent when you need to - lots of virtual shoulders here!  I am happy that the two of you were in such constant communication.  That means you have lots of lovely memories to replay.  :grouphug;
