Hi, My name is Deann I'm 31 and I have been on dialysis for the second time in my life now f since Jan 05. I did dialysis the first time around 10 years ago for 1 and 1/2 years. Then i recives a transplant and it lasted for 7 years. I had chronic rejection. They did a biopsy but couldn't tell me what caused the rejection. My ESRD was caused by STREP and my disease was a lifelong progression they said. My kidneys failed 4 months after my daughter was born so I have a 10 year old. I love singing in church. I'm involved in my daughters school as a homeroom mother and I am also the PR person for our parent teacher association.

Hi PD DeeDee,
Welcome to the site. At least you got a 7 year break. Although, transplants are not a piece of cake either. This site offers a place to vent. A place to go where others "really" understand about dialysis. Join in on the different topics. Tell your renal friends about this site too.

Hello and welcome. :D

Welcome to the group, PD Dee Dee. This is great place for lots of stuff - sharing experiences, finding out things the 'professionals' never tell you, ranting and raving when you need to, generally giving support to those going through some rough times. I don't know what I would have done without the help of this group when I was a Newbie. Read a lot, and write a lot!!
