Title: She's coming home today
Post by: WBMW on November 27, 2007, 12:51:57 PM
 :yahoo;  She's coming home today!!
The first thing she said to me was "I hope I go pee so I don't have to do that dialysis Thursday"     :urcrazy;  Not quite sure where she got that line of reasoning.  I believe my Mom thinks once she gets home things are going to be just fine.

Glad she's coming home. She'll be able to absorb things better at home. Hang in there!

So glad she is home.  It will take awhile for everything to soak in. There is so much to learn.  I could only absorb so much at one time, and then I kind of shut down. Find as much information as possible for her to read. I needed to read it myself, not have others tell me.  As I said on another thread, your Mom and I are near the same age.  I can tell you that I was very scared and felt out of control.  I am the one who did things for everyone and suddenly my life was upside down.  You are doing a great job as a daughter. Mine have been a huge source of help and support.  Keep us posted.  And get some rest! You need to take care of yourself, too!

So glad your mom is home. Get some rest and then take your time reading all the stuff - You'll be able to absorb such much more when your not tired. Give it a few days.  :yahoo;
Prayers for both of you.

Glad she's home.  :2thumbsup;  Be patient with her and yourself.  It takes some time to get in the groove and you both have a lot to learn.  This is the best place to learn so you're off to a good start.  :grouphug;

How is your mom doing?  The first few weeks of dialysis are the hardest and you're dealing with the holidays too.  :grouphug;  Don't get discouraged it does get easier.   :christmastree;  :santahat;  :snowman;
