SHAWANO COUNTY  --  What started as a routine traffic stop in Bowler could now mean a lawsuit against the Shawano County Sheriff's Department -- and it's all on tape. FOX 11's Lou Hillman has obtained the police dashboard video of the incident last weekend and has both sides. Hmmm. First of all, he should never have gotten out of the car. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to leave your vehicle when you are pulled over until the policeman tells you to. Second, he shouldn't have gotten so irate and started the trouble. I feel bad for the guy, but he brought this upon himself!

i agre- he was crabby and uncooperative. If he knew he had medical issues,and needed to protect his arms- he should have sat still and behaved.

Yep, the cop was just doing his job and the "victim" was being uncooperative, how was the cop supposed to know his medical status?   :urcrazy;

Yeah, if the guys had stayed in his car, cooperated with the police and not had such a bad attitude there would have been no problem and he would have driven away with the ticket for a broken headlight.  Unless there is more to this story than meets the eye the driver is at total fault for anything and everything that happened to him and I hope a jury sees that.

As soon as he got out of his vehicle he was an idiot.  Got what he deserved.

I agree. Cops have it bad enough with the bad guys, now the 'good' guys are being uncooperative? Sorry, if you're in dire straits, they'll help you, over and above, but if you're gonna be uncooperative, then you bring it on yourself.

Many kidney patients are confused and cranky. I could see how this could happen.

One of life's little rules - be polite to the guy with the gun.
