This will give you an idea as to the kind of person my dad is! He is the custodian and boiler operator at Brighton Elementary in the Rainier Valley in Seattle. This hawk got into the play court at the school and the kids were messing with it. He was afraid that they would get hurt so he trapped it in a box but then it got loose in his office. Watch the video.

Krisna, your dad sounds so cool!!! Great story!!!
He is! All my friends always liked him. And my sisters' friends did too! My dad's always been a nature lover. When I five he was in the woods cutting down trees (before the laws were passed that put a stop to that) and there was a family of chipmunks in the tree. The mama and two babies ran out but one baby got left behind. When the tree came down the baby still in it wound up with a broken leg. My dad brought it home and called every vet he could find in the phone book and they all told him the same thing, "We can't do anything for you! It's against the law to take wild animals from their natural habitat. You have to take it back to where you found it!" My dad was like, "It'll die!" And they said, "That's nature."
Well, he didn't take it back right away. He splinted the broken leg and finally found a vet who would at least tell him what to feed it. So we nursed it back to health and when the leg was healed we took it back to the exact spot it had come from! I had named it "Feller". lol

That was a great video and it's great seeing your dad now. I used to deal with hawks when I was a vet assistant and they are beautiful creatures!
