Title: Mica antibodies
Post by: mima on October 25, 2007, 11:45:11 AM
Does anyone have any information about Mica antibodies, and possible testing for it?  I was just reading an article that talks about this newly discovered antibody which is not detectable with the usual HLA tests.  And that initial studies show that it may contribute to possible rejection of the kidney.  I've tried contacting my transplant coordinator to ask about it, if they test for it, or if they can test for it.  But I'm waiting a call back from her, so I figured I would ask here if anyone knows anything.  If you are interested, just do a google search, I searched for 'mica match kidney transplant' and a few articles came up.
Thanks!
