Yes, it's a little early but today I have been out in the yard decorating and I thought I'd get a thread started. I set up the graveyard and next will make a "scarecrow" (actually he looks like Jason from Halloween) - here are photos from last year - I will take some new ones this week.
-
Jason looks real. Is that a dummy or is someone wearing a costume.
-
Nice! I agree, IS that a person, or a dummy?

It's just newspaper with a skull head on top and a mask, gloves, boots.
Everytime I opened the door last year to get the mail it would scare me! ???

You did do a great job with the Jason dummy since it does look like a person sitting there. One thing though....Jason is from Friday the 13th. Michael Myers is from Halloween. It may seems silly, but I guess I am a horror snob. ;D

oops! :oops; I meant Friday the 13th!
Thanks!

Now I can seee the ghost compared to the photo you showed in chat. I like it when people decorate their yards, my parents were never into that.
-
Sheeeeeit, if i were to drive up to your house and seen that whoever the hell it is supposed to be, i'd hop my happy fat ass back in that car and keep on driving, just that pic scares the bejeeezers out of me :o
-
That is so cool Karol. I did some decorating the other night but nothing like that. Very scary!!
-
Something that is always a great scare is when you have multiple dummies out, but one is a real person to scare the crap out of people when they approach.
-
My aunt's birthday is on Halloween so that is always fun, but we don't have a lot of trick or treaters in my neighborhood, which is surprising since its a suburban neighborhood, I love halloween but I liked it better when I lived in a smaller town

NJ street goes mad with Halloween decorations

That's the spirit, i would love to decorate like that but i'd be too afraid they would come and take it during the night :thumbdown;

Here is a link to Jib Jab that has some Halloween theme funny videos.

I love the decorations Okarol!! I live in an area where nobody decorates, mostly due to it may not be there the next morning. But driving home from work now that it's darker earlier, it's so neat seeing how people deocorate their yards.

Some Halloween photos - more later

Jenna carved this - she loves Mystery Science Theater.
-
Great pictures karol!!

I would want to trick-or-treat at your house if I were a kid. Nice work!
-
I love that. It's so much fun, and the kids will remember it forever.
-
We had about 150 trick-or-treaters. I think they are busing them in now!
We started a Halloween parade on our street about 10 years ago. Prior to that there were only about 8 kids on our street, now there are 33 - and they bring friends so it's really fun!
-
What I would give to have 150 trick-or-treaters. I had three. We live at the end of a quiet culd-de-sac, uphill, along a long driveway. I threaten my husband we have to move so we get more kids to show. It must be so much fun!

Sunny, next year - come to our house - we need help passing out candy!
Jenna did a great job, she loves seeing all their costumes.

Here were my pumpkins. Squirrels destroyed it within 2 hours after I put it out--they even ate it while people were coming up on the porch trick-or-treating! Greedy (and ballsy) little bastards! Sorry, but we didn't do any other decorating. In case you can't figure out what it is, it's the Cincinnati Bengals logo. If you boo, I'll :boxing; ya! ;)
-
LOL!!! I won't boo....til they play the Colts! THEN I'm sorry....it's blues vs orange then!!!!
-
Hey Paddbear, thats one cool looking pumpkin, :secret; (sorry ass team) but a cool pumpkin ;) J/K :waving;

Passengers on a German train mistook a Halloween reveler dressed up as a gore-covered zombie for a murder victim and called the police.
The 24-year-old man fell into a drunken slumber on his way home from a Halloween party in Hamburg, police in the northern town of Bad Segeberg said Monday.
Believing his hands and face were smeared with blood, passengers alerted police after getting no response from him.
A first aid team called to the scene soon cleared up the confusion. Police told the man to remove his make-up after which he was allowed to continue his journey.
"Bad Segeberg is in a rural area and Halloween isn't very well known there," police spokeswoman Silke Tobies said. "So people weren't expecting anyone to be dressed up in the train."
