Based on my experience, no, there are a number of people in the medical profession that can't read!  ;D

Hey,

It does seem that not only can't they read, I believe
alot of them do not have the ability to think, either!
Particularly those who do billing!

Yes!!!  You are echoing my husband's words for sure.   We have had and are still having problems with bills from Drs.

i had an emergency room visit the end of august. now this is not the first time i have used this hospital, but they again took copies of my insurance information. yesterday i get a letter in the mail designed for people without insurance offering a way to pay my bill. they apparently haven't even attempted to bill my insurance. needles to say they are going to get a rather pointed phone call on monday. NO BILLING AGENCIES AREN'T ABLE TO READ!!!

Ugh, we feel your pain.  I swear they are all dingbats who work there and don't enter the correct information after each call.

Rob has his own insurance, BCBS, yet every other month we are getting a denied bill from BCBS for his dialysis.  Reason?  They think he's on Medicaid and he isn't.  I can't tell you how many agents we talked to, how many supervisors we talked to and nobody has been able to resolve this.  Crazy!!!

I hate dealing with insurance companies, they totally suck!  I hope you get it all resolved!!!

I just got off the phone with my doctor's office. They were desperate to know how much I could pay them per month since my insurance company had declined several of my claims! They were literally begging me to pay $100 a month. Are you kidding! There goes our food budget for 2 weeks! I don't think they were happy when I said I was unemployed and would be lucky if I was able to pay $50 a month.  :banghead;

Tell the doc's office to deal with the insurance. That is why you have it!

Unfortunately, it's a legitimately denied, due to a pre-existing condition clause and the fact that I had no insurance a few months ago.
