It doesn't look to good. I left a message but you know there are times when you just don't know what to say. I have a healthy 17 year old and I am going to tell him tonight just how blessed I am to have him in my life and just how much I love him. Sometimes we are luckier than we think.

Many prayers will be said for him. I don't even know what to say -- Lord let this little guy live and just take me instead. I am so sad for his family. This is the season for miracles, may Tyler be the one to get a miracle this year.

His mom Dawn was sound asleep and I didn't want to wake her but I did get to see Tyler he was with someone in the play room he has lost weight but he has a smile that lights up the room, please keep him in your prayers they have run out of treatment options and it is killing his Mom.
-
I have been following his story, poor little guy. I feel so much for his mom, there's no easy way to cope with what they are going through.
Thanks for the update.
-
They've got a lot of battles ahead of them. I can't imagine how his mom copes and tries to keep everything on an even keel. I just read her blog. That's sad, that Tyler's dad doesn't care and can't even pretend to care at this point.
-
This family needs major prayers Dawn (tylers mom) her cousin who just found out she was pregnant passed out and was brought to the hospital, well the update was that she passed away she has a little boy the same age as Tyler. This family just can't get a break.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Tyler's mom feels Tyler is down to his final days. We were lucky enough to be with them last weekend and I may pull my kids from school one day as Tyler wants to go to Chuck E cheese again and I think to spend one last time with Tyler my kids can miss school. I can't imagine the pain his Mom is feeling

Everybody that has been following this little boys walk through this disease, if you can, lets all send a shit load of cards or something soon before dies. I know I will.

Please hold Tyler close in prayers, his mom is praying he makes it thru the night

A Child Of Mine (To All Parents)
Edgar Guest
I will lend you, for a little time,
A child of mine, He said.
For you to love the while he lives,
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years,
Or twenty-two or three.
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for Me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his stay be brief.
You'll have his lovely memories,
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there,
I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over,
In search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labour vain.
Nor hate me when I come
To take him home again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
'Dear Lord, Thy will be done!'
For all the joys Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him,
Much sooner than we've planned.
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand.
:grouphug;

Tyler continues to have good and bad days, but his Mom knows the end is near and inevitable.
Odat that is a very nice poem. :thumbup;
Odat; I posted that poem in their guestbook.

Makes all my problems very small. Tyler has fought such a hard battle and my heart breaks for the whole family. Lola, thanks for keeping us updated. I visit your caringbridge site often and always look to see how Tyler is doing.
-
Thank you for sharing it with their family Sluff. I cry every time I read it. Could not imagine losing a child. God keep them and give them strength.
-
Sluff I remember you telling me once you never feel like you can find the right words. I am in tears over what you wrote, it was so perfect :cuddle;

The situation just gets more heartbreaking. I pray his suffering ends soon, no one should have to feel that pain.

From Tyler's mom on CaringBridge today:
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 09, 2008 11:31 AM, CDT
Another quick update. Tyler had a fever of 103.8 He is no longer able to be woke up. He is just resting comfortably. We went to the funeral home today. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to work this out. My heart is aching so much as I watch him slowly slip away.

I just read that little Tyler passed away today around 2:00. What a touching story. I only read about this recently but my heart goes out to them. This is so sad, he was too little.
-
Sweet Boy, rest easy now with no more pain. I have followed Tyler's journey through his caringbridge site and through Lola's CBsite. My heart hurts for his family and will keep them in my prayers while they go through the next week. Heartbreaking. :grouphug; :'(
-
I just read this and have not been to Tyler's caring bridge site but I'm just so glad the wait is over. R.I.P. Tyler you are loved by many. We need to keep his family in our prayers because their entire life has been turned upside down for a long time and I just can't imagine the pain they are feeling.
This is where the caregivers feel the worst because although they know the outcome ahead of time they will always feel like they could have done more, or maybe they second guess themselves or maybe it's the guilty feelings they feel when they may actually feel relieved.
For Dawn and all Caregivers :grouphug; it takes a special person to put their life on hold for the benefit of another.
-
I was reading Dawns journal this morning and cried like a baby. My prayers go to the whole family, but a special one for his Mom. :grouphug; It just breaks my heart to read about the suffering of children. This is when I start questioning God. :'(
-
Love and sympathy to this family. :grouphug;
-
I have been following Tyler for a long time now... and I am grieving for his family, especially his mother, but I am happy he is where he should be, and in no more pain. He is his family's angel now, and they have his love surrounding them at all times.
:grouphug;
-
They have had such a hard and horrible time with this. It is at times like this you wonder why
good people suffer while bad people seem to thrive. I'm glad he's not suffering any more.
But it's gotta hurt the rest of his family and friends, that he isn't there any more. RIP, honey.
You were loved by many.
:grouphug; :grouphug;
-
Rest well Tyler. You've truly earned your wings. I've been following his story since his link was posted here. I'm happy for him that he is at rest, but I hurt for his family.
-
seems there are a lot of softies here,who were following this brave family. :) I'm very glad that I am in the company of people with the heart to care about a little boy and his family, when they all have problems of there own the could be preoccupied with, and still took the time to care about Tyler. Your good people. :-*
-
Just got home from Tyler's visitation and his Mom Dawn is sooooo at peace over his death, the fact that after suffering so much for so long he gave a final smile let her know he was happy and thinking heaven is beautiful. Thanks you guy's so much for keeping Tyler and his family in your prayers and also for the cards. They have a rough road ahead I worry about his little sister Ashley, losing her brother is alot and she's such a sweety.
