Hi my name is Barry and I have been on hemo dialysis for almost 6 years. I am still not used to the needles, and I use ladacaine for pain before the needles are inserted. There needs to be a better way of moving the blood out and in to the machine. I will be a lifelong dialysis patient.
Hello Barry1, I moved this post you made to it's own thread. I guess you didn't see this: "PLEASE CREATE A NEW POST TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF. DO NOT REPLY!" Any way welcome to the site, also how old are you and where do you live?

Welcome to the site Barry1. Please tell us more about yourself. Where do you live and have you been on CAPD ever. Are you not a candidate for a transplant? You will love this site. You already have a lot in common with me..... I hate the needles. :D

Welcome Barry1 nice to have you here, this is a great site.
I haven't been here all that long myself but I like it here more than most places I can actually physically go to ;D
I don't even have to have the laundry done to go here :D
I especially like that they set up a spell check for posts, I am the worst speller. :P

Hey, Barry, welcome. I like it here, too. The info is generally better. And the spellcheck really is a life saver, since my fingers move faster than my brain most of the time. :)
