Title: the list
Post by: karen547 on September 18, 2007, 10:21:02 AM
My mom and I were talking today and we got to thinking about 'The List' . I think it's funny that this 'list' is so secretive, and that ppl we hardly know AKA our Co-ordinators have the ability to have us placed as active, not active, etc. I just don't like taking other peoples word for it that I'm going to be active again soon-- I want proof that this list exists!

UNOS is based here in Richmond, and I was thinking of trying to infiltrate and get a job there so I can bump everyone up!   :rofl;

They act like it is membership to a secret society to be listed.

My first two kidney transplants were from close relatives, so I'm new to this whole "The List" dealio.  It's frustrating because every time my parents visit, my Dad asks where I am on the list and each time I have to reply that no one knows where they are on "The List."  This baffles him and infuriates me because he implies I have control over how "The List" operates.

By the way, I've been on the "The List" now for 3 years, 4 months and 2 days.  It's been so long I don't even think about it so when it does come, it's going to be a huge surprise.
