The last few days, I've been feeling really icky. My wrists and elbows ache constantly; I get a funny kind of nutty-sweet taste in my mouth while I'm eating (not every time I eat, though, and never when I'm not eating); I've had pretty bad insomnia - two nights this week I slept less than 5 hours each; and this morning my BP was 129/109 whereas it usually runs around 120/85-120/95.
I'm being weaned very slowly off prednisone after over 25 years. I started out at 5 mg/day and I've been at 4/day for about a week and a half. I thought it might be that, but I called the neph today and mentioned that in my message to the nurse, but she said that he still needs to see me. Problem is, he doesn't have anything until Monday. I went ahead and took the appointment, but does anyone have any ideas of what might be going on?

Sorry cant really help , but crikey Prednisolone for 25 yrs !! All i can remember about taking that stuff (in the early days) was that it was like someone had put me on 'speed' not that i have ever taken any ! ;D I am sure that what you are going through must be related to being on that stuff for so long. I was only on it for 2 yrs.
