Lori Hartwell sponsors these classes. I have talked to her on the phone, she is an awesome individual. Very motivating and very intelligent. She had invited IHD to one of her classes in California to be used as our Annual get together. If anyone is thinking of attending one of these classes, I highly recommend it.

With our health the way it is and our incomes the way that is, i think they charge too much  :thumbdown;

Did you see how much they charged for the "workshop" itself?   :urcrazy;  I think if she really wanted to help she could find the resources to do this without costing so much.  :twocents;

But the classes are free for dialysis and transplant patients. I have never had to pay a dime to go to one. I think you are referring to the Patient Leadership meeting.

A bit OT but I listen every week to the RSN "Kidney Talk" podcast hosted by Lori and Stephen Furst. This is a GREAT podcast and I always come away educated, inspired and entertained. Highly recommended.
