Title: saliva
Post by: glitter on March 27, 2006, 09:32:10 PM
Hi-I have been reading all the posts for a few days-and I have a question...Can saliva production be too high? Like,if my husband ,Jack, sucks on hard candy all day-will he produce so much saliva that it could be harmful? (too much fluid)

I might be wrong, but I don't think it could be harmful.  After all, you are only circulating fluid that is already there in your body.  It isn't really additional fluid.

I would agree with this.  I'd be more worried about the sugar content in said hard candy and how it might affect blood sugar levels and possibly his teeth.

Final Answer: NO! but on another note, I'm going to tell your husband you said: "my husband ,Jack, sucks"  >:D
