Below you'll find a link to the latest news from the
United Network for Organ Sharing.

Policy Proposals Issued for Public Comment

Four policy proposals recommending guidelines for the practice of
living kidney and liver donation and transplantation and minimum
criteria for granting designated program status to transplant programs
that perform these operations  have been issued for public comment.  The
proposals address issues concerning the medical evaluation, consent, and
follow-up of  living  donors. We are requesting your input
<http://www.optn.org/policiesAndBylaws/publicComment/proposals.asp> on
these proposals.

After the public comment period ends on August 11, 2007, the
sponsoring committees will review all feedback provided and make
modifications as necessary. These proposals may be considered for
approval by the OPTN/UNOS Board of Directors during its meeting on
September 18, 2007.
