I go to a Davita center and they like to make changes. Well this time they asked us "To catch a wave" basically what they did was change the schedule to have patients come in every 15 minutes instead of having set shifts like 1st shift, 2nd shift and so on and so on. I think that they just wanted the techs not to have down time (free time) and have to be taking off and putting on patients non-stop. They want them to work harder. Plus they moved alot of patients around from where they were used to sitting. Alot of people complained but they didn't care. >:(
For the first day they decorated the center in a tropical/hawaiian theme, they gave us "Hawaiian leis" to wear and served us "Jack In The Box" hamburgers! WTF? ??? what kind of stupid crap is that? Hamburgers at a hawaiian theme party? oh and the employees wore hawaiian shirts, wow that really made us simple patients happy ::) Boy those decorations really made my life better.
The pic below says "Village My Ass" because Davita calls us a village ::) All we are to Davita corporate is meal ticket. If we are all part of the Davita family how about giving us patients some profit sharing!
Be sure to scroll to see the whole picture.

That's GREAT! :D
That's the same reaction I had when they started the "Dialysis Dave" crap at Fresenius... this sort of thing might be good for pediatric patients, but it's a pretty big insult to full-grown people.
Incidentally-- didn't the serving of hamburgers violate the 'infection control policy' at Davita? ;)
