I do, really, but I'm too vain to let my beard grow ever since it came in white.
Plus, my wife hates beards.
So what's a guy to do?
Stinkin razor companies. You buy a razor, and by the time your blades run out and you have to buy new ones, they have a new type of razor on the market and your blades are now 'rare' and so you have to pay twice as much as they cost when they first came out. What a scam!
Shoulda been a muslim, i guess.

Sorry to say but muslims also shave, and believe me hair must be shaved, and not all keep beard. :P Have you tried those hair removal cream/gel? They are very good products on the market now, in the case you decide to give it a try just be sure is a gentle one that does not need to stay forever on your skin and also be sure is for face. I have suggested my dad to use, at the begining he did not like the idea he told me "i am not a woman!" but now I can tell you he is happy with the results, so tell me what you think...
-
i think it's a lovely day for a picnic.
:)
-
ha ha ha i did my best tough... :beer1;
-
Try the Magic powder. It's marketed toward black men, but works on all types, or so I'm told. It's super cheap and involves no razor. :thumbup;
-
thanks for the suggestions, ladies. i'll look into those powder/creams like ya say.
i admit a little anxiety. after all, the cream/powders have not been around that long, and like many 'convenience' products, there may be some danger to their use that doesn't show up for some time.
but what the heck, hey? my kidneys will probably kill me before my face falls off....

I tried the cream for ladies back in the 80's.................... thats almost 30 years ago LOL- it wasn't so great then, and Never EVER use it on eyebrows!!!!
-
why not? who needs eyebrows?
come to think of it, who needs hair?
i always thought it was funny how some women react to beards. like it was distasteful, or dirty.
maybe the subconscious knowledge of it being grown by the same glands that grow pubic hair have somethin to do with that reaction?
heehee
HAIR SUCKS!

I get great reactions about my beard from the ladies and even an occasional comment from a dude about jow cool it is or how they can't grow one. Last night I went to a concert and this one girl grabbed her friend to "look at this beard" and then she grabbed it and said "I love it." I like the attention it brings.
-
yeah, but we all know you're weird, george.
;)
-
and, we sure know there are some weird women out there!
what did she grab, if i may ask?
:bandance;
-
and by the way, maisha_r, i think you have your wires crossed, or maybe you are referring to muslim women. they should shave their beards...

:usaflag; I like beards, goatees and mustaches as long as they aren't rough and they are well maintained. :)
-
not me. i like my women clean-shaven.
as for me, i figure what is the point of a beard if yer gonna trim it? may as well shave the dang thing.
as for my wife, she don't want me with a beard. come to think of it, she don't want me without one, either... :-\
???
-
Hmm not mr. lizard not wires crossed, but yes to much wrong information specially over net, you said you hate shaving then you refer to your beard, so i just made a clean comment telling you not way to avoid shaving as we muslims need to shave, I was not giving you specifications of what to shave or not. Too many sites talk about Islam, but not all give the exact explanation. Me as muslim would never be able to give all answers but my comment was true and respectfull you do not need to make smart comments to me sir.. if you just want to avoid shaving then being muslim is not solution. We are muslims to praise our God not to avoid shaving...

LightLizard, she grabbed "IT", and if she grabbed "yours" I doubt you would have called her "weird"! ;D

i have absolutely no respect for religion. ANY religion, so i won't apologise for that. religion is poison.
grab my beard.
:rofl;

Beards are fine on some faces. Respect for each other on this forum- respect for fellow man -- that it important.

and fellow woman ;)

religion is poison.
Huh? Why do you feel that way?
-
i respect men and women fully. i do not respect religion and i do not need to pretend to for the sake of anyone. honesty is more important, to me, than being 'politically correct.' at this late stage of my life i reserve the right to my feelings.
why do i feel that way? have you looked at the world and what religion has done to humanity lately?
i believe that all humans are insane, really. some are more insane than others, and those are usually the ones that act in the name of their religion.
there was atime in human history when it may have made sense to instill wonder, belief and even fear of an all-powerful diety. there were no police or authorities with enough power to stop people from killing and ravaging others. that time has long passed, and as we can see, it didn't work.
there is no diety watching over us. that may trouble those who have such a powerful need for a father figure that they have allowed ancient and mindless superstition to govern their lives.
maybe there is something i hate more than shaving, after all. it's the ignorance of religion.

AMEN. I think I know just what you mean.
-
I am no fan of religion- but I think it is important to respect the fact that other people are free to worship whatever they want. Respect for your fellow man does not have to mean buying into their beliefs, nor does it mean insulting their beliefs because they do not match my own.
Beards I dislike.
-
Bringing this BACK ON TOPIC, I hate shaving too.
-
i do have a tendency to tease and antagonise, sometimes.. i admit..and i don't really distinguish between beliefs or religions at all, like i said, i think everyone is crazy anyway, but if you can't laugh at yourself and the absurdities of life, (such as religions) then you're pretty much trapped on a level that is about par with most of humanity, which is about equal to the apes...except they seem capable of humour...
;D
-
Guys think they have it so hard with shaving. :lol; Women have to shave legs, underarms, bikini areas, etc. Guys just have a couple swipes with the razor, slap on the aftershave, and they're done. :thumbdown;
-
that's very true, sara. but it's really a choice, isn't it? you don't HAVE to shave your legs and 'pits, and i don't HAVE to shave my face, really, but if i don't i get so itchy and just feel 'grubby', so i choose to shave. i usually wait a few days and get a bit of stubble growin'-
it's just somethin we deal with our own way, i know, i don't mind hating it, really..
;)
-
I hate, hate, hate shaving anything on me and unfortunately Minoxidil grows hair like crazy!
-

there's probably a bunch of bald guys that would like to know that.
:bandance;
-
i hate it also. i usually wait 2 weeks to a month before i shave. i use an electric shaver, i've had it since i was 16. long ass time...its just a pain, when i do shave i just use the trimmer so it is stubble. i dont like a clean shaven face, bugs the crap out of me. :urcrazy;
