National Kidney Foundation - Patients and Families - Message Board Status

Message boards are back online. The service was interrupted due to recurring attempts by individuals "flooding" the message boards with phony messages. We have upgraded our service and made every attempt to prevent this from happening again. We are trying to do this all without having to implement strict security measures for our honest members. We believe the members who rely on these boards should not have to be punished for the actions of a few individuals

If you notice objectionable content being posted (eg. linking to pornography, selling merchandise, hateful messages etc.). please inform the message board administrator or webmaster@kidney.org

Thank you for your patience and we hope you continue to participate in our message boards.

Sincerely,
The Technology Team
National Kidney Foundation

Well now that I posted that I guess there is still a problem.
The NKF message board was down for a month. Now when I go to read the messages they are all blank.
I pray they didn't lose all the messages posted over the years. There were some good thread there. And
it's one of the first places people in the US go for info. I hope they can retrieve the threads!

Message forums for patients, families, and living donors:

From an email, Jun. 1, 2007:

The National Kidney Foundation's message boards are back
up, following a series of spam problems. They are accessible
from http://www.kidney.org/patients/mboards.cfm

(There are links to the message boards from other parts of
the website, which may not have been fixed yet, but you can
access all of them from the link above).

Unfortunately, our old messages didn't make it through this
transition, so we're starting over. But we hope we can
build the Message Boards back up again into a good resource for
everyone.

Have a great weekend~!
Jennifer (NKF)
