I just finished my first week of training, and everything is going great. My dad did all of my treatment for the first time today, and he did very well, considering he had only seen a dialysis machine up close once when he visited me in-centre a few months ago. I started practicing cannulatian today with a needle and an old piece of bloodline. I should be able to start actually using my graft in about a week. My training nurse is quite amazed at how quickly me and my dad are picking everything up. I've done a lot of research and study in the last four months, but since my previous centre didn't let me do self-care, this is the first week I've been actually DOING most of this stuff. I literally don't have enough good things to say about NxStage. I'll keep you all posted as I continue. Take care.
