Hoping all our friends (Michael Murphy, Simon Dog, VtBigRig, Others?) in the New England area will be safe and warm. Do you folks have generators at the ready or some other plans to stay warm, dry and well fed? What about being well-dialysized? Winter storm Gail looks to be a baddie. Take care!

That must be really bad. I wish their safety. :bestwishes;

I am sitting in my house with a cup of tea and listening to the wind push snow around. I will be home till Friday at 4:00 am when I go to my next dialysis session. When I was younger I would use any excuse to take my Jeep CJ out in snowy weather. Now at almost 70 I am happy to sit inside. Tomorrow I will happily take my Honda CRV all wheel drive out on empty roads at 4 am I may grow old but still I haven’t grown smart.

I received a weather channel alert on my phone yesterday stating that Gail was moving in. First I thought who is Gail and why is she moving? Then I couldn't understand why the weather channel didn't hire people who knew how to spell gale. Eventually I figured it out. Here on Long Island it's been messy but the kids (and adults) seem to be having so much fun sledding and playing outside. A little break in this bleak year.

SooMK: "a little break in this bleak year" - I think you hit the nail on the head, SooMK. A winter snowstorm might be the only normal thing to have happened this year.
I am glad for the kids and parents that got to get out and play in the snow. And I can picture Michael Murphy pulling sleds or inner tubes behind his Honda CRV...lol! Heck, if I could even I would want to join in on that!

I wonder if Michael Murphy made it to dialysis or did he skip to go play in the snow with his all wheel drive? Guess that's what they call a Snow Day.

I was there in almost 9 years the only time I missed dialysis in my clinic is when I was in the hospital where I was dialized. Riding in snow is always done after dialysis.
