As-salaam Alaikum (peace be unto you)
My name is Keith Woolford Sr.
I'm new to the group, but I've been here before,I received my first transplant on 12-7-07.
Unfortunately 12 years to the date my body started showing signs of rejection
I've since started back on dialysis.
But I still may have a shot @ saving my transplant the Dr here in West Virginia are doing everything to save my transplant......

Wa alaykumu as-salam.
Hello, Keith. Thank you for joining us.
I am sorry you are showing signs of rejection and regret that you are having to start back on dialysis. It must be very disappointing.
That said, I am hoping that you and your tx team are able to save your transplant! May I ask what exactly are they doing? I hope it works! Please do let us know!

Thank you. My team has me on steroids (Prednisone) sevelamar carbonate and trimerthoprim-sulfamethoxazole.
Along with my regular medications. I go to dialysis for 3.5 hrs. Their hope is that it's still in it's early stages 2( mild). I just had more blood work done this morning

Welcome to IHD!
I am glad that you joined and are posting your status. I had no idea a Tx may be 'saved' once rejection started, so I will be following your progress carefully with many many Prayers for success.

Welcome to the group. I hope you continue to post about your experience as those of us who recently received transplants know that they might last for only so long. We hope they will thrive but its good to know warning signs and the treatments others experience trying to control and continue the graft function.

Thank You all. Like I stated before I was in this group before and I loved both sharing and hearing from all,I'm going to continue to share.
And this is not the end of my transplant as long as I'm doing what's asked if me I still have a shot @ saving it.
Cause it was caught in time it's still a good chance that it can be saved,we just need to pay attention to the signs of rejection and that goes for us all.....
