Okay you all, techs and nurses, listen up.
I did not come to dialysis today to make your life difficult.
I cannot help it if the machine clotted tonight and you had to change the lines and dialyzer. It is not like I brought thick blood with me and poured it into the tubes just to make you work harder. I also did not jerk around with the machine for a half an hour, before deciding what to do about it. You did that! Now we are both late!
I also cannot help it if you are wearing hot scrubs today while I sit for four hours freezing to death in a very cold room and I complain loudly about it.
I would love to trade places with you.
I did not plan to have kidney failure, so do not treat me like I am an inconvenience to you. Dialysis is very inconvenient for my life and I do not want to be treated like a stupid three year old. I will try to treat you with every courtesy.
Treat me like you like me.
Your patient

And if you would have administered the Heparin correctly in the first place I wouldn't have clotted.
