Halloween is coming and I want to surprise my husband with some treats. I'm thinking of getting him either a tiny pumpkin basket or new coffee mug and filling it with small Halloween candy. Of course I will have to consider his diabetes and dialysis but figure a few small treats will be okay. Maybe some Sweet tarts, Werthers, mints, red cinnamon balls, lemon drops and a little candy corn. Can't leave out a bite size Butterfinger or Mr. Goodbar either (his old favorites). I just want to put a smile on his face and have a little fun with it. He loves it when I leave little lovey-dovey post it notes so thought I'd surprise him and leave him a goodie basket. Or goodie cup.
Anyone else going to surprise their precious little ghouls at home? :) This is gonna be fun!

Hello PrimeTimer,
I really enjoyed reading your lovely post and it very much shows your care and your husband is a very lucky man! Your thoughts are very inspiring and I shall surprise my husband with his favourite sweetie, which is a very special "brownie" sweets-treat.
Thanks for the inspiration from Kristina. :grouphug;

My surprise for hubby came a little early. I was inspired to make this video which pretty much says it all: https://youtu.be/SocNI9kvh_c (https://youtu.be/SocNI9kvh_c)

I've got a small spooky Halloween gift bag ready. Filled it with all kinds of little treats, some of which he hasn't had in ages. His labs have been looking good so figure it is "treat time" again. Going to leave it on his desk for him to find Halloween morning after dialysis. I love being silly and he's such a big baby, he loves surprises. Who doesn't? Especially candy?! And ha! I got enough for him to share! That's sort of our rule around here. ;D

Kristina: Those brownies do sound so very sweet! But these boys are so worth it! Can't wait to see the smiles! :cuddle;

Hubby loves the goodie bag I gave him. The Tootsie-Roll Pops and Werthers (with caramel centers) seem to be his favorites. He's sharing the mini chocolate bars with me. :P He's pretty darn good about sticking with the renal diet, not to mention testing his blood sugar thruout the day and taking Insulin. Every once in awhile he enjoys a good treat day. Halloween is one of those days. It's all good tho. No terrible labs or outcome. Probably because he doesn't go too crazy with it. We both enjoy it. More holidays and treats coming up...
