My brother had 99.99999% HLA antibodies.  He needed an absolutely perfect match.  He received a transplant as part of a transplant chain and has done very well.  I also have really have HLAs - I have joined the same transplant program hoping to get a transplant.  I need to find a living donor who will donate on my behalf as part of the chain.  Once I have a donor, they will put us into their computer system and make matches.  My brother's chain involved 16 donors and 16 recipients!

I recommend finding a transplant program that does chains.  It will up your chances and decrease your waiting time.
