Hello,

My name is Amos.  I was diagnosed with Renal Failure about 6 months ago after having difficulty breathing one night.  Currently, I am waiting for my AVF to mature and trying to get on a transplant list.

I know you will find a lot of good information and support here on IHD.  Let us know how we can help you.

Good luck with getting listed for a transplant.  It can be a long process, but it is worth it.

Glad to have you join us Amos!

Did youo have a vatheter put in so you could start Dialysis or are you still getting by without, waiting for that fistula to mature?

Many of us were in dire need thus a Perma Cath was stuck in so immediate treatment could be started.  I was greatly surprised just how easily the Dr yanked out my Perma Cath.  Just YANKED and held direct pressure on the site sort of the same as after a blood draw, only longer.

Sure not long for the amount he gets paid.  Wish I had such a job!
