After I was on the list, they sent me a letter saying I was elligible for an A Blood Type kidney if I was interested. My blood type is B-. I just needed to go to a class about it at the transplant center and sign the papers. I learned about what all the different blood types could do, but I can’t remember the details well enough to post, because I may get it wrong. But B- is the rarest and takes the longest to get a kidney. If I get an A kidney, I might need something a little bit like dialysis but it would only take 30 minutes. That’s if the teeters weren’t right or something, but it’s the same risk of rejection as a B- kidney. So I signed up, so maybe I will end up with an A kidney.
Has anyone else been offered this option? I was just interested.

I think the +/- does not matter for transplant. Counting both + & - , B is 11% of the population. 4% for combined AB +/-.
