Title: Bad Pure Flow Sak
Post by: Vt Big Rig on February 10, 2018, 04:58:42 AM
I saw on another site that NxStage had issued a letter recalling certain lot numbers of Pure Flow Saks. We never got a letter so we called and asked. None of the lots we had were on the recall list. We asked why we never got a letter and did not get a good answer.

Later we found out they only sent them to those "who had those Saks". Humm ...... the next day we got a delivery. The driver carried in the Saks and wifey notice they are the wrong SAK type. oops says the driver I brought in the wrong pile. We got the right SAKs but here is my concern. If the"wrong pile" had been the eight type of SAK how would NxStage know what SAKs I had.

Seems negligent to not send a letter to everyone instead of those that they "think" have those SAKs. Seems kind of important to our lives to not save a few stamps.

Oh.... three weeks after this happens .... the clinic calls to ask about SAK numbers. They are right on top of it ......  :sarcasm;:Kit n Stik; :Kit n Stik;

The home care RN at my clinic emailed me two SAK lot numbers to look for.  She said problem was excessive endotoxins, but that the risk of using such saks was small.

Good to know, Simon. But the NxStage notification process is still suspect.
