Hello to all
My name is Tony and I hail from Cyprus, I'm a Brit expat, been here 14 years. Started hemo 8 months or so ago and have to say, apart from the boredom, sitting doing nothing for 4 hours, I don't have any problems so far. The unit at Limassol General hospital is great, and all the nurses and docs are good, attentive and once you get to know them, a laugh. Makes hemo a lot easier. Glad to have found this informative site.

Welcome to the site Tony

Glad to hear your hemo is going well. How's the weather over there in Cyprus?
It's going to be chilly up here in the UK.
Take care, Cas

Welcome to IHD Tony! Glad to have you as part of our 'Family'.
I take my laptop to treatments and watch documentaries during treatments. Time flies when I am rapt up in studying something interesting.

Hello Tony. Glad to hear dialysis is not a problem for you, hope that continues (I expect it will because 8 months should be enough for any possible problems to show themselves). Welcome to the site.

Quick question Tony: I noticed that in another thread you say:
I'm a Brit living in Cyprus, I'm lucky that my costs are covered by European health card, meaning the UK NHS pays for my treatments.
Curious what your plans are for the future, because after Brexit is finalized, that will probably end?

Hi Paul, I'm assured it won't, but I also have cypriot cover, just have to apply.
