Title: Hi there
Post by: Cupcake on August 26, 2017, 06:09:53 PM
I am new to post but have been enjoying this site since I started PD last November. I have learned a lot from your experiences! I am hoping to get a kidney from my lovely sister-in-law this October. I was evaluated for transplant in April 2016, but rejected based on my weight and heart failure. Took awhile to get the nephrologist to start PD, but it has fixed my CHF, duh! I feel so much better!. A year ago I literally could not cross the street without stopping to rest, and now I'm walking 3 miles a day and swimming (don't tell my nephrologist)

Welcome to IHD!

The exercise is a great help/  Stay at it as long as you can, it really does make a huge difference in how you feel.

I just wish I had your energy. I have other issues that prevent much physical movement, so I manage as well as I can.  I get by.

Transplant will be a God sent miracle, restoring your systems almost unbelievably.  Give her a hug and great Thanks when it happens.

Take Care,

Charlie B53

:welcomesign; cupcake.  I too do PD, but it hasn't cured my heart issues.  You are very lucky.

Hello and welcome

As long as you are swimming in a private pool and seal your site with a Tegaderm patch you are good to go.
