I've been reading and don't see anywhere that people on dialysis can't use bug repellant. Anyone have any experience with this? Hubby work mostly outdoors and being summer, the mosquito's are biting. He use to use a spray and that worked pretty good but now wonder about his skin/body absorbing the repellant.

Deet is a neurotoxin, so not good for anyone-- on or off dialsiys. There are many good "natural" repellents that are a lot less toxic, e.g lemon-eucalyptic (aka Repel).

Thanks for the tip!

Bugs don't like me much. I have to wonder if it is something to do with me smoking. Who knows?
Son smokes, and the bugs eat him alive. Wife never smoked, and the bugs love to eat on her.
I have three or four different types of sprays, neither of them will bother to use them.
Wife rarely goes out in the yard or garden because of the bugs.
We have 'no-see-ems', little critters so small you can barely see them, yet they take a big enough bite to leave a welt. Alcohol wipes h elp.
I think a tall glass of alcohol may help take off the 'edge'.
