My old fistula in my left arm is suddenly very painful.  I get an x ray on Monday.

My husband has pain in his fistula too , as well as numbness and no palpable pulse. He hasn't used it for 19 months, got a transplant. The veins just kept getting bigger and bulging. He had a scan , saw a surgeon, who said it had to be fixed, he will have surgery the first of June. The surgery will clean up the vein and close it up .

:pray;  I pray the surgery goes well.  My fistula doesn't hurt right now, but I can see similar problems in my future.  I hope it doesn't ruin my chances for getting on the transplant list.

It shouldn't hurt your chances.  I don't see why it would... Maybe if you get a really bad infection, but even then you should only be listed as inactive and the time accumulated should still count towards your time on the list.  I hope everything works out for you, Whamo!
