I was listening to "Coast to Coast AM" last night and they had a doctor of Stem Cell Research. It has come a long way. People who have babies are keeping the umbilical cord (don't know where - Freezer) so that if that person has problems later on they have their own stem cells to use.
What interested me was failed kidneys (depending on the stage) can be helped with stem cells. They get the stem cells from your hip or FAT and sort them out right then and get the good stem cells and inject them into your kidneys and they start to work repairing damage.
This guy has no doubt that they will be able to grow organs in the near future. HOPE?

I'd be fearful a home freezer couldn't properly store material without damaging cellular structure from icing. I would need a lot more study into this.
What if my power went out for a few days?

I was just reaching. I'm sure you PAY to have them stored forEVER.

Well..........there are those places that will freeze and store your whole body, or just your head, in hopes that one day we may have a means of bringing a body back to life.
I cannot imagine the pre-paid cost. Nor having that kind of money to spend.
But I can admit, the thought that saving such material may possibly be useful it makes far more sense to use that material NOW and perhaps receive 'credits' for the donation which may be used later. Somewhat similar to how blood banks already work.
