Title: New...from Austin Texas
Post by: Warborg on March 22, 2017, 02:30:46 PM
Hi, I came across this site about 2 weeks ago while searching for information on fistulas.

I've been on dialysis since January 2013. I got my fistula put in back in August 2012.

I look forward to posting here.

Austin is a cool place!  I'm originally from Houston and went to college in San Antonio.

Welcome to the site.  I hope you find information and support here!  Thanks for joining.

Welcome to the site, it may be messy at times but this is great place to learn about the life of dialysis patients.

Welcome, I'm glad you were on top of things and got your fistula created in advance.  I believe that people who move to dialysis with advanced knowledge probably have a better transition then those who are surprised and start dialysis after complete kidney failure.

I received one treatment at DaVita South Austin Dialysis Center in 2014 well on vacation.  My wife and I enjoy Austin and the BBQ but have not been back in a few years.

There are few pleasures on earth that match that of Texas BBQ!

Yea, my Kidney doctor told me back in July 2012 that my Kidneys were at 20% and I would be on dialysis before long. So, I didn't waste anytime. Even though my health is in the toilet. I have a 7 year old daughter that I want to be around as much as possible.

I've always had my belief in politics but 9-11 really woke me up. I don't go a day without thinking/watching it.
