Title: New...from Austin Texas
Post by: Warborg on March 22, 2017, 02:30:46 PM: Hi, I came across this site about 2 weeks ago while searching for information on fistulas.

I've been on dialysis since January 2013. I got my fistula put in back in August 2012.

I look forward to posting here.

I believe that people who move to dialysis with advanced knowledge probably have a better transition then those who are surprised and start dialysis after complete kidney failure.

I received one treatment at DaVita South Austin Dialysis Center in 2014 well on vacation. My wife and I enjoy Austin and the BBQ but have not been back in a few years.

Yea, my Kidney doctor told me back in July 2012 that my Kidneys were at 20% and I would be on dialysis before long. So, I didn't waste anytime. Even though my health is in the toilet. I have a 7 year old daughter that I want to be around as much as possible.

I've always had my belief in politics but 9-11 really woke me up. I don't go a day without thinking/watching it.
