Title: Trump Quotes
Post by: Rerun on December 22, 2016, 02:24:24 PM
Donald Trump was asked if he could quote any Bible verses.
He replied, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Deport him and you do not have to feed him again."
Trump 20:16

I bet he wouldn't say that, because he would have to change his mind when he would find dead bodies from innocent people on the countries coast line or on the street. Like they did in Greece and Italy.

He might considering the poor dead bodies that were mowed down in Germany by some radical Islamist who should have been deported before he stole that semi truck.   ???

He was already convicted to 5 years in Italy, as in 'known by the police'. What was he doing outside jail? Why arrest some random man (asylum seeker ) first so that the killer could go all over Europe? Well he's dead now, very convenient. It's terrible for the victims of his callous attack.
Maybe sell some more weapons to the Mid-East, than willy nilly bomb the Mid-East and moan about asylum seekers.

Europeans are attacked, so instead of asking "are the people prepared and equipped to defend themselves?", the governments are instead asking "Are our people helpless enough to be safe?".  Madness.

The dead bodies in the seas is ONLY because people are encouraged to risk their lives by getting on boats because rich countries have been rescuing them & taking them in. Australia has shown the world what happens when strict border protection is reinforced - the boats have stopped and no lives are being lost at sea. As Italy, Greece etc are still taking in refugees, they are still coming in the millions to Europe. Whereas there are now zero boat arrivals & zero drownings in Australian waters. Dead bodies on the coastline of any nation is purely a function of that nation's border control & protection.

What a pity you've resorted to name calling and insulting members on here who have a different opinion to you in non-medical political questions. Congratulations.

Tell me truly.  Where have I called you a "name".  Tell me.  Tell me now.  And show me where I have insulted you.  Show me.  Show me now.

Defend your cruel and inhumane post.  You will not distract me by accusing me of name calling and insulting anyone, an accusation that is completely baseless and is a lie.  Defend your post.  Come on.  Do give us some insight on how "dead bodies on the coastline of any nation is purely a function of that nation's border control and protection."  Defend this.  Defend this.  Explain it and defend it.  You can call me anything you want.  I don't care.  But defend your post.  Defend it.  Explain how this statement of yours is NOT cruel and inhumane.

I would also implore you to remember that refugees are fleeing the most terrible atrocities.  They are not fleeing so that they can live in Europe or Australia.  What they want is to return to their own lands, to their own cultures.  They want their countries back.  Every dead body represents lost hope and opportunity.

On the news last night, they were showing before and after pictures of Aleppo, which is reportedly the longest continually habited city in the world.  Or, was.  It was the jewel of Syria, and now it is gone.  It would be as if Rome was destroyed.  Such a waste.

Yet here we sit in our comfy homes, behind our nifty neat-o computers, educating others about the "function" of dead bodies on a coastline.

Perhaps Trump will grace us with a tweet about this.

There is a old Hagar the Horrible strip that expresses the problem here Hagar quotes the Viking motto "I got mine".  We live in a connected world what effects one country ultimately effects all.  I don't know how anyone can rejoice in scenes of hundreds of bodies washing ashore including the heartbreaking one of a dead 3 year old washing ashore on a Greek island.

:thumbup; Agreed. And the dialogue for who/how they will be stopped needs to start so that their brutal attacks on the citizenry of the world can be stopped. It will also prevent floating bodies.

http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2016/04/australia-immigration/480189/

Before the new border protection policy called "Operation Sovereign Borders" was setup in Sep 2013, Australia's borders were ransacked by increasing waves of undocumented illegal immigrants from the Middle East, Africa and Asia who risked their lives to reach Australia on rickety boats that often capsized & needed to be rescued by maritime defence. There were approximately 1,200 such deaths at sea and about 50,000 illegals who remain at large in the community before there was an intense debate about stopping these voyages. All experts said the boats cannot be stopped. But a new conservative government was elected & they passed legislation that made it legally impossible for anyone who came illegally to Australia to ever be allowed entry - even on a future tourist visa (this latter detail being debated right now). The other thing they did was to setup a military naval operation that actually turned boats back from where they came - or failing that, to put them into offshore detention centres where they would be eventually resettled in some other foreign country. The result is now - zero illegal boat arrivals, zero deaths at sea and zero new illegal unknown aliens roaming around in Australia. The number of people who remain in these offshore detention centres is steadily decreasing as they are being resettled in 3rd countries.

At the same time the Australian govt has dramatically increased the intake of documented & pre-screened genuine refugees as a result of being able to reassert their border protection and control - which has taken the wind out of the sails of the noisy hysterical Leftist 'compassionistas". So the net effect of regaining control of your borders is no dead bodies at sea and all the benefits that come from being able to maintain law and order during times of international chaos.

Donald Trump seems very well aware of the security pitfalls of having your country's borders ransacked and I eagerly await to hear what he will do about it after 20 Jan.

Some of the victims are persons brought here as minors who had no choice and are paying the price.  They should be showed compassion.

The persons who came as adults, and brought minors with them, are criminals (as in "persons who break the law").   A basic premise of "rule of law" is that the penalty must more than negate the benefit of breaking the law (for example, if someone steals $5000 from a bank you don't fine them $1000 and let them keep the stolen loot).  All proposals with a path to citizenship for persons who CHOSE to break the law are fraught with the moral peril of a penalty less than the benefit derived from committing the crime.  Such proposals will only make progress when there is a "D" majority as the perception is that these are future "D" voters, not "R"s.

If I were to run, I'd run as a Republican.  They're the dumbest group of voters in the country.  They love anything on Fox News.  I could lie and they'd still eat it up.  I bet my numbers would  be terrific.   Donald J. Trump

I am sick over the election of Trump and believe he will turn our country into a compassion-less business that will harm those who most need help (say like CKD patients). However, I believe lies are helpful to no one and, much to my dismay, the Trump quote regarding running as a Republican, supposedly from People magazine, is fake news. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/10/politics/trump-quote-facebook-trnd/

I must be colour-blind - I mainly see him as BLONDE haired. If he has ever looked orange, I have always assumed it's due to particular lighting issues.

But either way being of both Scottish & German heritage does mean that being ORANGE is a racial/ethnic characteristic. Scottish people are renowned for their russet, red, orange hair colouring.

My Neph is one such person & I wouldn't dream of calling him the ORANGE doctor!

I've always thought the orange relates to skin color not hair color, but I could be wrong.  In many lighting situations his face looks orange, here are some google photos

If he does use a tanning lotion, it must be to counteract the harsh studio lighting. All people in the public eye need makeup for this purpose & he obviously didn't want to start looking old and washed up like Bernie Sanders, for example. I hope he tones it down for the inauguration ceremony!

Back to Trump quotes:

"I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."
