Hi sweet people, well I've made it to sunny Portugal with my dodgy fistula arm. Yes I'm happy I'm here, but right this minute, or right these hours I really hate dialysis. As we drive from the UK to Portugal, so sailing with the over night boat to Spain, than further down to the Algarve, we are now in an okay hotel in North Portugal. My machine and drain all nicely sorted, no complaints.
But the chair I'm sitting on is SO uncomfortable, and hubby is nicely a sleep, cos SO tired..... I'm SO tired too, but I still have 45 mins to go, and my back is killing me, and I really NEED some Mentos (which are in my bag, out of reach of course silly me)
Anyway only 41 mins to go now, thanx for reading.
Love y'all, Cas

Hope you have a great stay! I can't imagine dragging something like a NxStage machine on a trip. I know people do it, but it really sounds like a lot.

Kudos! Hope you have a wonderful time! Hope you take lots of pictures for your photo album. I like to pick up postcards to keep just in case my pictures don't turn out.

Sitting in a hotel chair for hours? I feel your pain. Better get the next hotel's bed pushed over so you can lay down.
FYI For reference my Portugal trip last month was the lowest cost dialysis yet, a NephroCare site in a hospital in Lisbon was 117.5 euros per session! The DaVita in Porto was something like 175 euros.

If anyone deserves a great vacation it should be you, enjoy the sun and make good memories.

Ooo you're all too sweet. Now arrived in Armaçao de Pera, and 'normal' D will commence.
It's gorgeous outside. I will make lots of pictures, and have invested £20,- just so I can stay
