To keep things fresh I faithfully flushed the black Pureflow drain line with bleach every 2 weeks. Well, I recently took some time off from doing HHD, "respite" as they call it so the Pureflow machine sat for about 3 weeks. Went to prime a new PAK and oh boy....during it's "flush mode" it wreaked to high heaven! So my advice is that if you take some time off and if at all possible, try to continue flushing the drain line with bleach to avoid any uh, "surprises". It reminded me of the days back when I was a kid and would cut through cow pastures on my way home from a friends.

I do a chlorine flush EVERY week! Keeps the line fresh and clean looking! I use about 4-5 60 cc flushes followed by about the same of rinse water....
