I have FSGS which seems to be familial. I limped along for 8 years with immunosuppressents, steroids, Lasix and antihypertensives but started peritoneal dialysis 2 years ago. The neurological changes were driving me nuts...not that I had far to go. I am dramatically healthier today than I was two years ago even though my labs remain crummy. Waiting my turn for a kidney and am 0 for 6 on potential donors.
Working hard at enjoying life and retirement but I will admit that dialysis sucks. Still fishing and travelling some but with the restrictions of dialysis. Writing helps on the days that are not so good as it gives me a place to escape to when the rheumatoid arthritis flares up. Ever thank full for the support of my bride of 44 years.

:welcomesign; Welcome to the site, ckaluza! You've come to the right place. You'll get plenty of support here, we all need it time to time. Ups/downs and a whole lot of info shared here. And I agree, writing does help.
