Except grapefruit juice and pomegranate juice right? Also alcohol should be limited.

I had my dad's kidney 13 years started in the 80's I did drink quite some alco, mainly cos hubby and me run a pub. The alco of course hammers the liver and so does Azathioprine which was pretty standard in those days. That was 1 of the main reasons to limit alco. I don't know which organs are mainly hammered (besides the kidney itself) with the immuno sups you are on, but that's googleable I'd think. I would check that. I'd keep alco and other mind altering things in moderation anyway as I understand the timing from the immuno sups is rather important. Starfruit-juice is also a no. I keep reading (in my 15 hrs D dia and kidney-research time about limiting, if not eliminating eating meat(juice?)

Keep drinking DGFOREVER

Lots of luck, love and strength, Cas

Thanks Cas!  :2thumbsup; :clap;

What is starfruit juice? Of course there's no problem drinking tea or coffee? I hear Green tea, Hibiscus tea, & Chamomile tea are all good for the kidneys?

I don't care for alcohol anyway and only drinking it rarely so I don't have to worry about that!

I drink only water, tea and coffee and occasionally a glass of wine. I have green tea or mint tea but I never cared for herbal teas much and I think some of those teas may be just fine but they may not. It's like the unregulated supplements in a different form and who's to say whether they're helping or hurting?

My creatinine is about .97, sometimes a little over 1, and I just passed two years with my transplant.
