It's National Kidney Month in the USA in March.
Ways to help bring awareness:
Wear your awareness ribbons, bands, and t-shirts to bring kidney awareness to the public eye.
We have a store to pick something up from. It supports the site.
Post your personal story whether on ihd.com or on Facebook or another area.
Support a kidney site with time or monetarily.
Contact the National Kidney Foundation for information.
Join our premium membership on Ihatedialysis.com
There are many invisible diseases mentioned in people's posts on line, however I do not see kidney disease mentioned in any of them. Let people know it affects your life.
Educate yourself on the roles the kidneys play in your body and how to take care of them.
Above all, whether on dialysis, or caregiving, or working in the field, or are affected by kidney disease in some way.... Live a life filled with love.
