Title: Hello all from Pa
Post by: Tkski on December 15, 2015, 08:44:51 PM
Hello. I am a 47 year old male that has PKD. Currently, I am stage 5. My health has declined very quickly in a matter of 6-7 weeks. My fistula will be put in place after the holidays, sometime in Jan. Glad to be here and hope that I can learn a lot of what is to come.

Welcome aboard mate!!  Sorry you ended up joining our ship but hey we welcome all who are experiencing CKD.
Its a great place learn and interact with people who go thru the same thing and understand.
They may not all agree all the time but they are willing to share their vast knowledge with the rest of us.
WATCH OUT THOUGH......some of them can be  :urcrazy; at times
they will :yahoo; you on to help you as they always want to share their  :secret; with us.

All joking aside my friend...WELCOME and ask when you need to....don't forget as you learn sometimes you might also teach an old dog new tricks

Welcome to The wonderful world of CKD patients, the reason I have maintained my tenuous grip on reality is the wonderful people on this board and the amazing information provided here, it made my transition to this life easier and occasionally provided a necessary chuckle.  This online party always needs more participants so I am glad you joined.

Welcome to the site.

Glad to have you here and sorry you had to join us. I remember those last few weeks before starting ... UGH!!

I think it is a good idea to get the fistula installed as soon as possible. It needs time to heal and mature. Do the exercises they give you as soon as you can and as often as you can.

I wish you the best of luck with that. Fistulas are not a normal part of your body. Most work great, some not so good. Hopefully they have done some vein mapping and your's will work great.

Again  :welcomesign; and don't be afraid to ask questions or share concerns.
