Hi All,
I'm sole Caregiver to my Mother who is 95-1/2 years old. She is in ESRD, her most recent GFR was 10 (was at 8 about a month ago, so slight improvement). Her nephrologist has recommended she start dialysis soon, and I'm here to learn more about that in order to provide her the best information so she can make her own decision.

:waving; Hi Barb,
Welcome to IHD!
I am caregiver for my 29 yr old daughter who has been on dialysis 2 years after a 7 year kidney transplant.
My sister is 63 and will begin dialysis this week.
They are both healthy in every way except for CKD so they can withstand treatments pretty well, but it's not easy.
I imagine it would be tough to start at your mom's age.
I wish you all the best facing this challenge.
