Title: Just want to say hi

:) My name's Claire, I'm 35 have been diabetic for 30+ years, have got kidney failure due to the diabetes and have had 4 strokes.  I'm currently on APD (home night time dialysis) its ok.

I live in Warwickshire, England with my partner Baggio, he's like a cocktail a bit of Italian, Tunisian, Maltese, so life is never dull.  He moved to be with me from London 2 years ago, he knew all about my conditions what a shame I didn't, I didn't know I'd be on dialysis now and its taken alot out of us, it all started in August 2006.

Welcome to our community, Claire!  You will find that joining this group will be one of your weapons in dealing with this renal challenge.  There is much to read here.  We would also like you to go to the relevant section and tell us of your experience with home dialysis.  There is quite a bit happening on this site, so jump right in.

Hi Claire!  I am getting that your relationship is in trouble since the beginning of dialysis.  I know exactly what you mean and hopefully we can work this out together  :grouphug;
