Hi Everyone, :D
Heph & I would really value your prayers. He has been admitted to hospital this morning, running a temperature of 38.9, he's shaking, vomiting and aching all over. His PD fluid is clear and his white cell count is normal, his urine is normal, well the protein is high, but that is normal for someone with esrf, and so far his bloods aren't revealing anything either!
??? Aghhh, why can't anything be simple???????? ???

I will certainly keep Help and you on my prayer list.
Hope he's feeling beter soon.

:2thumbsup; Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers.
:thumbdown; Unfortunately there is no change in Hephs condition yet! He is still has a temperature, is swinging between feeling hot and sweaty and cold and achy. And the doctors still aren't really sure what it is. Although his white cell count is normal they decided to treat it as an infection and started him on iv antibiotics, but Hephs arm went bright red and swollen and he started to itch so they stopped it and said they would give him oral antibiotics instead, that was at about 4pm yesterday. It's now 8am on Thursday and they still haven't had any. They are waiting for them from pharmacy! ??? :banghead; I spoke to Heph on the phone a little while ago though and he had slept well and seems quite peaceful and content. :clap; They removed his perm cath yesterday too, he has been on PD for over a month and still had it, so they decided it could go, so, one less tube to hit me in the face every time I go for a hug! :cuddle; Oh yeah, and one less entry point for infection. ::)
So there we go, we are good, just taking each moment as it comes and trying not to get overwhelmed by yet another complication.
We really appreciate you guys and all the love and support. :grouphug;

:grouphug; Wishing Heph a speedy recovery... once they get their act together in pharmacy gggggrrrrrr.
Keep us posted :cuddle;

My prayers go out to you both. I hope he feels better soon.

Hi H.L.L. Thank you so much for the update. Hang in there, ok, Heph needs you and we need you too ;) I am glad to hear he at least got some sleep and he is content, sometimes those arent easy to achieve, especially in the hospital, :P Please keep us posted...
-
Praying all goes well. :thumbup;
-
:cuddle; You must be so frustrated. I hope things improve soon.
-
Oh my, HLL! I sure hope you're doing okay with this. I'm glad Heph is
getting some sleep at the hospital, he needs it so desperately right now.
Let him know we are thinking of him, AND you, as well! :grouphug;

OK. Hephs home. He discharged himself yesterday because they weren't doing anything that couldn't be done at home. All they were doing was giving him paracetamol. They have decided to treat it as an infection although they have no proof of that yet and have given him some oral antibiotics at last. They came at 5.30pm last might! He's feeling much better today, his temperature is down although he is very tired and lethargic. It's good to have him home though and he is eating really well. Always a good sign.
Thank you all for all your love, support and prayers.
H-L-L :D

I'm glad Heph's home and feeling better. :2thumbsup; Being in familiar surroundings will help boost his spirits, and being out of the hospital means he's less likely to pick up some additional oddball germs! Keep us posted on his progress!
-
Woohooo, Heph is home, yes, it is a very good sign that he is eating well, that is good to hear. Please tell him hello for me (us) and that our prayers are still with him (and you) Never underestimate the Power of Prayer ;) Much love to you both and Godspeed :cuddle;

So glad Heph is home and the fever is down! :2thumbsup; WOO_HOO !!! Hoping for continued improvement. Take care of yourself too, H-L-L! :cuddle;

I appreciate all you people so much. Thank you. :cuddle;
Heph continues to do well although he is just so tired. Yesterday I had to go out to pick up a few things from the local shops and Heph wanted to come. After the first couple of shops he was worn out! He came home and flaked out for the rest of the day. So today, he does nothing. I'm gonna make him rest all day, no choice. He always tries to overdo it and then recovery takes twice as long, but not this time, nooooo way! :2thumbsup;

Good idea H.L.L. By him fighting it and not resting he isnt going to get better that way, he needs to listen to his body, stay down a couple of days so his body can get better and get his strength back, then i am sure he will be his ol' normal self again :2thumbsup;

Well he better listen to you or tell him I'll send Susie overthere and she will beat him up. >:D
