National Kidney Registry - I Have an Incompatible Donor

Your prospective kidney donor does not need to match you! He or she can donate to someone they match, in exchange for you getting a kidney from someone who matches you. This video explains how it works. Go to http://www.kidneyregistry.org for info on the National Kidney Registry and the power of paired exchange.

There is also "donate to the list", which purchases a spot at the top of the list for a person of the donor's choosing.  The problem with this is that you pay with a live organ and get a cadaver one.  Also, even if your donor gives a KDPI<20% kidney, you won't get a similar quality one unless your EPTS<20.
