Title: Introduction
Post by: Stormmey on March 25, 2007, 10:38:43 AM
Hi. I am new to this site. I am really glad I was told to check it out. I am a registered nurse clinical manager of 2 dialysis centers in Delaware. My father-in-law was on dialysis until October. I donated my kidney to him and all is well. I decided to join this site as I am always looking for ways to make the lives of my patients easier and to make my clinics better. If you have any ideas, I am very open to suggestions. Thanks for letting me join. Tracy

Welcome to our community.  And we really mean that.  We are very proud of the fact that we have people from all perspectives of the renal failure challenge.  We like it when people who are charged with the care of renal patients take the time out to find out how it is like from our point of view.  So I am really grateful that you decided to join us.   We even have a section Dialysis: Employees, where you are free to rant and bash patients as you like ;D.   There is lots to read - tens of thousands of posts.  However, we also want to hear from you.  Ask questions, answer some.  We even have an Off-Topic section where anything other than renal failure/dialysis can be discussed.
We also have a story going, maybe you can add a paragraph or so.
So WELCOME.  Here is a group hug from all of us.  :grouphug;

 :welcomesign;  Tracy!  You must have a wonderful relationship with FIL to donate a kidney to him !!!  YEAH!!!  Getting the word out to others about your selfless act of donation will go a long way in the promotion of donors.  And yours would not just be lip-service, you could tell them what to expect and maybe allay some of their fears about even signing a donor card.  Thanks for coming to the site and joining- your patients could also benefit from those of us who are in their shoes.
