Nxstage is not bicarbonate based. It is lactate based.

It looks the same size as a Nxstage, can't find the weight though, which is one of my main negatives of Nxstage

It is smaller than Nxstage.  Converting the metric dimensions, it measures 14.6 inches wide, 17.7 in. deep, and 18.9 in. high.  Certainly smaller than Nxstage and likely weighs less based on a volume comparison between the two machines.  Quanta's advertising shows it being moved about using a baggage cart type device.

Brochure is unclear as to how it is a portable machine as water for dialysate-making needs RO water.
