Just got called to set up appointment to get evaluated for transplant. The soonest appt is in 3 months. :(

I've been on list for three years. I was called today to get my availability for an evaluation! I was told the five hour process will now be required yearly. I wonder if it's part of the new listing methodology?
Anyway that could be the cause of the three month wait.

UCLA had us do a lot of the testing on our own, instead of doing it all at the center.
They no longer ask for gyno or dental clearance.
On the other hand, Scripps still does most of it in-house, and did request pap and dental.
Maybe you can ask what is covered on the evaluation. You could get some things, like immunizations, gyno and dental out of the way.

I have to get my records proving gyno, my X-rays/ct scans, and a dental clearance. Still 3 months down the road. Partly good cause it's a 2.5hr drive in good weather.

Based on your signature, I'm guessing that you are in Chicago area and listing in Wisconsin (or vice versa?) I didn't realize you had to be re-evaluated every so often.
I do remember having to wait eight weeks for my first transplant intake meeting with Northwestern. Then they told me that I had six weeks to get all of the testing done....I had it done in three. Still took four months from the date of the first intake appointment before I got the letter telling me I was on their list.
