WOW, you do have a full plate to deal with. But, dont be afraid, we are all in the same boat, so ask away!!

Welcome, skinnacat! I'm not the one on dialysis (my husband has Stage 5 ESRD) but I am always shocked and amazed at what people with kidney failure go through and how they deal with it. I can relate a little tho..I help my husband do home-hemo, I have an autistic nephew and lost my mother a year ago. This site has been very helpful so I hope it does you some good, too.

Dear Skinnacat:
Next time you see your doctor ask them about your immunoglobulin levels. Your blood tests should already have it listed. Low levels suppress the immune system, raises hell with the kidneys, can cause asthma like symptoms and is often overlooked.
I went through five doctors before this came to my attention and already I'm seeing results.
