Title: Hello
Post by: malibu1 on October 02, 2014, 05:41:30 AM
My husband is back on dialysis after a cadaver transplant June 2012.  He started hemo at home on Nxstage Nov 2009 using an AV Graft.  Despite efforts to plan ahead and have a new access installed May this yr he now is using a chest catheter.  A botched installation of an AV Graft and its subsequent removal, 8 surgeries in 10 weeks...we are finally at home after a 2 week brush up on Nxstage at our Davita.  We are sitting at a cafe in New Orleans (vacation), trying to r & r or rather decompress after our 4 month hell we've just come out of. This too shall pass. So heĺlo all, hope to chat here, need some advice on some issues. I will post that in an appropriate area.

Welcome, glad to see you were able to hit the road after your rough patch.  I think you will find the site a wealth of support and information.  I'm still in my first year of dialysis but I've found it convenient to travel with in center dialyses as long when your health is stable - I can only imagine how much simpler it is to be in control with Nxstage.
